This is a good ride for early birds who like to "smell the roses". It's the one day of the week to enjoy Center Rd on Old Mission Peninsula. Ride departs promptly in order to beat church traffic.
You will immediately get the two biggest Center Rd hills out of the way. We are rewarded at the top with a stop at the overlook near Chateau Grand Traverse to take in the view...and rest! Then, onward to Peninsula Market for a snack and bathroom break. We'll take Bluewater Rd down to Bluff Rd for the return trip--saving the easy part for last.
MILEAGE: 24 miles. Later in the season, we can extend the ride by taking Ladd Rd--if everyone is up for it.
***RAIN POLICY*** This ride will be cancelled by 6:00 a.m., day of ride, if the chance of rain is 40% or greater. Please double check the calendar when the weather is questionable.
