If you missed the spring 2025 Iteration of this tour, here's your second chance. Leaving from Cherry Bend Community Park on Tuesday, we'll head to Leelanau State Park for our first night of camping on the shores of Lake Michigan. On Weds morning, we may pedal into Northport for breakfast at the New Bohemian Cafe before riding the quiet roads of the Leelanau peninsula to DH Day campground in the SBNL. There will be opportunities for provisioning in both Leland and Glen Arbor. Thursday's route will take us around the Glen Lakes and back to Traverse City.
We have 3 campsites reserved in both parks, but 2 small tents per campsite is pretty cozy, so you may want to reserve your own spot - www.midnrreservations.com for LSP and www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds for DHD. These are rustic campsites with a water source and pit toilets. No electricity, no showers.
