It's time once again for the RAT! This year's recreational bicycle tour offers 4 scenic routes that follow the shoreline of the legendary Torch Lake, ranked by National Geographic as one of the world’s most beautiful lakes. Lakeside views, countryside farms and orchards, and rolling hills comprise the majority of the riding. Most riders opt for the signature 63 mile route, which circumnavigates the lake in its’ entirety. The shorter 26 and 40 mile routes manage to traverse southern portions of the lake, offering a similar experience for those looking for something a little less ambitious. New for 2026 is the Chain-O-Lakes Century – a route that envelops not only Torch, but many of the lakes that comprise the nearly 100 mile long Elk River Watershed.
