Trip Overview: A 4 night / 5 day tour of Door County using Fish Creek as our hub.
• Getting There: We will take the 9:00AM Badger ferry from Ludington to Manitowoc. Our base of operations is Fish Creek, approximately 90 miles north of Manitowoc. Carpools will be arranged to minimize ferry costs.
• Lodging:
o Homestead Suites in Fish Creek (https://www.homesteadsuites.com/) is our preferred lodging. ROOMS ARE GOING FAST, book today. It is best to call the Homestead. In case your schedule changes, Homestead allows you to cancel until June 10. There are also other hotels in the area if Homestead is full.
o A 6 person, non-electric campsite has been reserved for tent camping. Email touring@cherrycapitalcyclingclub.org if you want to tent camp.
o A limited number of campsites are available at https://wisconsin.goingtocamp.com/
• Routes: Each day will have options for riding routes, ranging from 30 to 50+ miles. SAG – will share responsibilities during each day.
• Estimated Costs:
o Lodging – 4 nights at the Homestead, double occupancy @$800.
o Ferry - 2025 Round-trip cost for an SUV or Pickup w/ a bike rack is $220. This can be split depending on number in the vehicle. In addition, each passenger must purchase a ticket. Round Trip fare is @$150. See Badger Rates
