This is a good ride for early birds and cyclists who work during the day. It is an "on your own" ride.
Depending on riders' schedules, there may or may not be regrouping. Come prepared to rescue yourself as your companions might not have time to assist with repairs. (Bring spare tubes, inflators, cell phone, etc.)
Showers available a few blocks away at the Civic Center. $2.50 for Grand Traverse County residents and $3.00 for out-of-county riders. You might want to bring exact change in case no one is at the counter.
Pace: 13 mph or more
Pick the Old Mission Peninsula route that gets you back in time for work. Maps will be available.
- 21 miles: Out via Center Rd (hilly) to Blue Water. Returning via Bluff Rd (flat).
- 27 miles: Out via Center Rd to Ladd (hilly). Returning via Smoky Hollow and Bluff Rds (flat).
Please wear light / bright clothing and use a red flashing rear light since we will be starting out at dawn.
Check calendar for weather-related cancellations. We will not ride if there is likely to be thunder, lighting, or rain at start time.
